Objectives

Create a new container and upload a file to it. Set specified ACLs and expire the file.

Overview

In this lab, you will be creating a new container and uploading a file d to it. You will set read and write ACLs as well as expire the file.

Lab Connection Information - UPDATED

How to Access Root:
Start Lab and connect via SSH using the generated credentials, then run sudo -i to login as root.

HORIZON LOGIN URL:
http://[IP Address]
Start lab, then access by copying SSH IP into new browser window

DEMO TENANT:
Username: demo
Password: openstack

CLOUD ADMIN:
Username: admin
Password: openstack

Scenarios

You have been hired as a consultant to analyze the current OpenStack installation at ABC Corp and have been given the following tasks:
- You will need to create a container named resources for the biology project and upload the files/biology.jpg file to it.
- You will need to create a read ACL for the container allowing anyone in the biology project to have access.
- You will need to create a write ACL for the object allowing only tim user in the biology project to have access.
- You will need to set the file to expire in 1 hour.
