Network Administrator – Entry Level
In this entry level learning path, you’ll develop your skills as a Linux systems administrator. You’ll gain a fundamental understanding of the Linux operating system, several of its core tools, and key real-world troubleshooting techniques. When you finish, you’ll have all the skills you need to earn your first job as a system administrator. As a network administrator, you will maintain, monitor, and optimize the networks that connect the infrastructure that runs your company. You’ll be responsible for ensuring availability of systems, responding to incidents, and maintaining connectivity between Linux systems that run mission-critical business systems. Your job responsibilities may including configuring and maintaining network systems, responding to incident reports from users, and minimizing downtime for business systems. You will need to have a strong understanding of not only how the network operates, but what to do when it fails to behave as expected. This is an entry level position, so no prior experience is required.
