Junior Linux Systems Administrator – Entry Level
In this entry level learning path, you’ll develop your skills as a Linux systems administrator. You’ll gain a fundamental understanding of the Linux operating system, several of its core tools, and key real-world troubleshooting techniques. When you finish, you’ll have all the skills you need to earn your first job as a system administrator. As a system administrator, you will provide support for Linux systems and the software they run. You will be responsible for maintaining, optimizing, and troubleshooting both software and networks. You will manage software upgrades and patches, provide suggestions on system architecture, and working with engineers to ensure system reliability. Your job responsibilities may include troubleshooting issues reported by colleagues from various levels of the organization from help desk to engineering, communicating resolutions to technical problems, documenting company infrastructure, and testing new software to ensure it integrates reliably into existing systems. This is an entry level position, so no prior experience is required.
