The AWS Serverless Application Model (SAM) is an open-source framework for building serverless applications. It provides shorthand syntax to express functions, APIs, databases, and event source mappings. With just a few lines of configuration, you can define and model your serverless application.

In this hands-on lab, you will learn the anatomy of a SAM template, and configure a starter template in order to deploy a web application into AWS.

Finally, you will validate the deployment and test the application using a web browser.

Lab Prerequisites

  • Understand how to log in to and use the AWS Management Console.
  • Understand how to use the AWS Command Line Interface (CLI).
  • Understand how to use ssh from the command line.
What are Hands-On Labs?

Hands-On Labs are scenario-based learning environments where learners can practice without consequences. Don't compromise a system or waste money on expensive downloads. Practice real-world skills without the real-world risk, no assembly required.
