While a lot of internet network traffic travels through public IP addresses, there are scenarios in which services require a private connection. For these situations, Google Cloud offers VPC network peering, which, in addition to providing private RFC 1918 connectivity across two VPC networks, offers a number of other advantages. The peered networks can be in the same or different projects and even in different organizations. Other advantages include lower latency than public IP addresses, higher network security, and even lower costs – as peered networks bypass egress costs. This hands-on lab will show you how to tell if networks are not peered, how to peer two separate networks, and how to verify the connectivity of peered networks.

What are Hands-On Labs?

Hands-On Labs are scenario-based learning environments where learners can practice without consequences. Don't compromise a system or waste money on expensive downloads. Practice real-world skills without the real-world risk, no assembly required.
