In this lab you will do the following. First, you will need to perform the initial Apache web server installation. Upon the installation, you will then need to start it and enable it to start at boot. After that is done, you are required to install and configure the firewall. Furthermore, you will need to open up two ports - port 22 and port 80. You need to open up port 22 because you are connected via SSH and you do not want to start enforcing firewall rules before you allow your own traffic, otherwise you are going to lock yourself out. It is important to open port 22 before applying any firewall rules. Opening port 80 is important so that you can access Apache demo page from outside confirming that your Apache server is functional and accessible from the outside world.

What are Hands-On Labs?

Hands-On Labs are scenario-based learning environments where learners can practice without consequences. Don't compromise a system or waste money on expensive downloads. Practice real-world skills without the real-world risk, no assembly required.
