Welcome to this hands-on lab, where we'll deploy an application on Tomcat.

We are using Apache's Tomcat, a Java-based application platform built around deploying and managing Java Web applications. The server provided in this lab environment is running Red Hat Enterprise 8 and has Tomcat 9 preinstalled for you. The Tomcat instance is available on port 8080.

You will log into the server and deploy an application via the web GUI.

You will then deploy a second version of the application, making use of the versioning available to you on the Tomcat GUI deployment section.

You will test to make sure the new version of the application is working. After that, you will remove the old original application.

Ensure the newer version of the application is still working.

What are Hands-On Labs?

Hands-On Labs are scenario-based learning environments where learners can practice without consequences. Don't compromise a system or waste money on expensive downloads. Practice real-world skills without the real-world risk, no assembly required.
