In Elasticsearch, the data we index (verb) is stored in an index (noun). The word index here is used as both a verb and a noun. Essentially, we perform an index operation in order to store data in an index. Before we can do this however, we need to first understand the structure of indices and how to define them in order to meet specific requirements. In this hands-on lab, you will be creating several indices with specific shard allocation requirements and custom aliases.

What are Hands-On Labs?

Hands-On Labs are scenario-based learning environments where learners can practice without consequences. Don't compromise a system or waste money on expensive downloads. Practice real-world skills without the real-world risk, no assembly required.
