From a security standpoint, Elasticsearch is a wide-open system by default. With an X-Pack license however, Elasticsearch can be locked up tight to protect your data with network encryption, user access control, and detailed audit logging. This learning activity gives you the opportunity to encrypt Elasticsearch's transport network, enable audit logging, and limit access by creating a user with a role that only allows for read access to an index.

What are Hands-On Labs?

Hands-On Labs are scenario-based learning environments where learners can practice without consequences. Don't compromise a system or waste money on expensive downloads. Practice real-world skills without the real-world risk, no assembly required.
