Github login credentials

Hi,

I'm doing Google cloud essential (Deploying an App Engine Application lab) course, when I tried to git clone the URL,
It is asking for user name and password for the GitHub account.
I'm stuck here at the moment. Please help me to resolve this roadblock

I just logged out of Git Hub and then re-tested the lab. I was able to clone the repo without issue. Can you try it again and if it fails, let us know and we'll open up a ticket for support.

Hey there. I'm getting the same problem as Karthik but logging out of my github account didn't fix it, git clone  still asks for my username and password.

Not sure this has any impact, Chris, but fwiw I'm using an Incognito window. Are you? Also try clearing your cache.

Git clone will ask for your own github account password when you use it, this is working as intended.  You should have an account set up on Git for you to use. I can't answer for the specific course, but the intent may be that you fork the Git repository into your *own* account, then you can clone it from there using your own username and password. Hope this helps.
