RHCE Question ISCSI

Hello Linux Academy ,

  I have a question regarding Iscsi

After i created block in the backstores it gives me the below :

What are the last 2 lines alua , default ?

How to remove a block that i created ?


I followed the steps , i created with the below line :

/backstores> backstores/block/ create block1 /dev/vgsan/lvsan1


/backstores> ls /backstores> ls

o- backstores ...................... [...]

o- block .......................[Storage Objects: 2]

| o- block1 ................... [/dev/vgsan/lvsan1 (500.0MiB) write-thru deactivated]

| | o- alua .................. [ALUA Groups: 1]

| | o- default_tg_pt_gp .....[ALUA state: Active/optimized]

ALUA is an industry standard protocol for identifying optimized paths between a storage system and a host. ALUA enables the initiator to query the target about path attributes, such as primary path and secondary path. It also allows the target to communicate events back to the initiator.

As far as deleting a backstore, it's pretty simple: >backstores/block/ delete ...  Remember that targetcli is tab-out driven; you can see almost every option available to you.
