Just passed the AWS CP exam!! Although I passed, I was a bit frustrated at times during the exam, as I felt the LA Cloud Practitioner course material was too high-level for the actual test. Now don't get wrong, I'm not trying to bash LA, as I learned a lot about cloud computing from the course, and Thomas did a great job explaning features and concepts. I just didn't think the LA course material was detailed enough. What really got me through were the AWS whitepapers. Reading the whitepapers is not only a MUST, but you also need to STUDY and UNDERSTAND them thoroughly. I'm glad I spent the time to do that. I know that the practioner's brief states to not overlook the whitepapers, but I would suggest making the course a bit more relevant by incorporating more of the AWS whitepaper info in the LA videos and practioner's brief. I almost felt like the LA course material wasn't necessary to study for this exam . I'm wondering whether the LA AWS SA, CD, and Sys Ops material will be the same way?
STUDY and UNDERSTAND the whitepapers (Design principles, best practices, overview of services lists, and billing overview), you'll thank youself after the exam.
Thanks to LA, and Thomas for the course material, onto AWS SA next!
