Congratulations Mike.  I passed DevOps - Pro last week and prepping for CSA - Pro now.  My preparation is solely based on LinuxAcademy in addition to reading lots of AWS Docs. Can you tell me how you prepared for CSA - Pro? and some pointers

Since some have asked here are some pointers from the AWS CSA Pro exam...

The Linux Academy course is outstanding. Take your time and understand the content.

1. read the white papers in the exam blue print all of them, especially the storage services white paper and the AWS DDoS Resiliency white paper. cannot stress this enough.

2. i was surprised by the number of Direct Connect questions on the exam, along with the Elastic Beanstalk blue/green questions.

3. when taking the exam, read the last sentence of the question first then go over the question. alot of the questions have 'fluff' in them and you really only need to know what they are asking for at the end of the question.

4. time management is key to this exam. take your time but dont get get stuck on a question. if you dont know it, flag it and move on. come back to it when you are done at the end if you got time. i did this and still had 45 minutes or so at the end to circle back around and take another look at the 'flagged' questions.

5. i took a few short breaks every 20 questions or so. got up and stretched and took a few deep breaths to 'center' myself for the next 20 questions. its a marathon not a sprint.

6. really read the questions and answers. understand what the question is asking... cost/availability... storage types... understand what ELB can and cannot do. understand CloudFront.

7. Route 53 overview from the Associate level course helped to me to fill in some knowledge gaps that i had with resource record sets.

8. did i mention read the white papers? ;)

9. the practice exam from AWS is difficult but most of the questions are like that on the actual exam. take that exam, get used to those type of questions.

study, take your time and understand the content and you'll be fine.

thanks

-mike
