LPIC-1 certified

My first certification ever!

Studied strictly from Linux Academy, it was all I needed.

Special thanks to @tcox for making this easy to pass.

Congratulations! May I ask what actually helped you most from the provided material? I am learning for the LPIC-1 myself.

@Jan: I always write notes while watching videos and do what the instructor does(on the second monitor, hands-on).

After I've finished  all the videos, I did all the exercies, labs again and wrote notes(paths to files,  what is the role of that file...etc) in a .txt file, so I can memorize all that important information and understand its meaning.

After that I have followed all the commands from the study guide and memorized what is there until I felt comfortable with every subject.

I am not a flash cards guy , because I felt that the exercies, labs and especially the study guide had all the necesary info.

P.S. Study guides are the best!

thanks for your reply. The study guide covers a lot of parameters for quite a few commands. Do you know all of them by heart? I have a hard time to remember everything (for example: look at Lsscsi).

@Jan: For the Linux architecture chapter I know the commands by heart, and almost all the "flags". As far as I remember, flags didn't play a big part for the exam(linux architecture chapter), only the commands and what they do/output.

Congratulations Gabriel!

I’d love to endorse/recommend you on LinkedIn if you want. All you have to do is add me as a connection and add Linux Academy as your school. Once you do that, post a picture of your cert about passing in your feed and reference me within the original post. Once I see this, I’ll be able to recommend you for your hard work on your LinkedIn profile.

Thanks,

Anthony
