After working with Unix/Linux for 27 years, finally had an employer who cared about a Certification enough to require it (unfortunately), so here it is.
Thanks to this site. The videos and study guides made this easier than I expected it would be. The amount of minutia that LPIC wants you to remember is beyond ridicuous and I honestly don't know how young kids with no experience ever pass this test without spending 100+ hours on the material.
I learned a few things in the process about Linux.
I also learned that the certification is pretty much what I expected, proof I could commit mounds of information to memory. I remain unconvinced these hold any value beyond entry level for the Unxi world, but I'll probably get the advanced ones now. No reason not to.
Nice work, Jared!
Way to go, Jared!
Congratulations on your certification! If for nothing else, obtaining your certification shows to your current (and any future employers) the commitment necessary to get it.
Woohoo! Congrats, Jared!
Thanks for your feedback on the prep materials... and congrats on your new cert!
