I got a devops job at a cool company - I got home assignments, finished them, passed the interview stages, and the company was satisfied.
From my experience I can say that a lot of companies are looking for people with AWS skills (almost all the devops jobs that I looked) and Docker (I got asked a lot about Docker).
There so much more to learn, and I think that linuxacademy is a great place to learn!
Congratulations! We appreciate the kind words and we are thrilled about your new job!

Congratulations, Tom! They also probably saw all @tcox and @Anthony 's DevOps courses on your resume and hired you on the spot. Nicely done on impressing them with how you performed the home assignments to win the job!

Congratz! can you please suggest me how to prepare for the inerviews for docker and AWS?
You need to work with the technologies on your own time.
Spin up a docker containter and play with it (then dokerize an postgres or mysql database or dokerize an rails or django app)
The same with AWS, take the AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate course and follow the labs.
In short, take the linuxacademy courses on those subjects and just work on them.
Great information. Thank you for sharing. Congrats on the job!!!
