The Linux Academy Azure team is having a blast at Microsoft Ignite 2018 this week in Orlando, FL! We’ve enjoyed meeting with current students, welcoming new students to the family, giving away lots and lots of swag (there’s plenty left, don’t worry!), and learning everything we can in between.
The perks of going to conferences such as Microsoft Ignite is that we’re the first to know about new certification exams being released! Yesterday, seven new Azure certifications were announced. Here’s a quick summary of the new exams and the format changes Azure certifications are undergoing:
70-533 Exam is being replaced by the AZ-100, and AZ-101, with and AZ-102 being the bridge exam
70-532 Exam is now Microsoft Certified Azure Developer Associate, and splitting into 2 new exams, AZ-200 and AZ-201; AZ-202 is the bridge exam for those who already have the 70-532 Certification
Azure 300 level Certifications are expert level, split up between AZ-300, AZ-301, and AZ-302 (being the bridge Exam).
All of the new Azure exams are in beta now. Microsoft Exam 70-532, Microsoft Exam 70-533, and Microsoft Exam 70-535 will continue to be available until the end of this year before they get deprecated and replaced by the new exams mentioned above.
