Information security is more important now than ever. In the news, we see one breach after another, and the impact is huge – not just for businesses, but for consumers as well. Running a large organization means keeping tons of data, and a lot of it is going to be sensitive. Think about what would happen if that data were to fall into the wrong hands, then think about what your company is doing to keep that from happening. We’ve all got questions about security, especially on cloud platforms like AWS. This Friday, November 17, 2017, we’ll be hosting a webinar to answer some of these questions about AWS Security, and how to protect your data.
The webinar will be hosted by AWS Certified Professionals Anthony James and Christophe Limpalair. They’ll be discussing the keys to keeping your infrastructure secure, and how to avoid the mistakes that often lead to the big breaches we see so often in the news. A few of the topics will include:

  • IAM security best practices – how to control access to your resources
  • Data protection – how to protect data lakes using S3 and encryption both at-rest and in-transit
  • Detective control and incident response – how to automate detection and prevention, as well as contain incidents
  • Infrastructure security – which services and features can work to increase security across your infrastructure

Data breaches are increasingly common, and the results are increasingly harmful. Security isn’t a matter of changing a few settings in your configuration, of course. It’s an ongoing process that needs to be constantly reviewed and evaluated. But with our upcoming webinar, we hope to provide a few starting points for those new to AWS security, and tips on how to get better for those with experience.
